Stillness Hero

Oh, Stillness…
Ever tasted
such stillness
before?
You must ask yourself:
Is it now
and for ever?
Or no nay never
no more?

But alas now,
that susurring sound?
Be it the wind?
Or be it those small
splashing waves
I have heard before
bursting into tears
onto granite shore?
Oh, why do you talk to me
in such riddled metaphore?
Why not say it as it is?
I guess it’s no nay never
no never no more?

Maybe the secret is
not to think of it
as a secret
Not to interpret
or whatever
Just to hear them
see them
feel them
taste them
smell them
and say:
It’s now
and for ever!

Waves talking to me
incessantly
without giving me
the chance
to think…
You know
it tickles me pink…

Do you really believe
in the eagle?
Can you actually imagine
that it’s bald?
That its head is
blindingly white?
Not to speak of
its tail?
Is it within your
ability of conviction
to see it
soaring into the
infinitely blues
far far and away
above our
humanly whine
or wail?

It blows my mind
no end…

Waves are not even
whispering
they are breathing
breathing…

Anyone can slay a dragon,
they tell me
But try waking up each morning
and loving the world
all over again
That’s what takes
a real hero

A stillness hero…
